Mark, I love these. And boy, I've experienced them all. Looking at what arrives in my own mailbox, a LOT of nonprofits have these problems. Business letters, not personal ones. Bragging about their good work, not involving the donor... and on and on.
Really love these thoughts, brought a warm glow, thank you. For emotionally invested fundraisers, these points will be gold. However, I am seeing an alarming number of small to medium-sized charities settling for emulating fundraising techniques, as it is seen as just one of the jobs they do! A commitment to and love for direct response, I suspect, will only reveal the true treasure trove of thoughts here. Keep bringing it! (Can't believe our paths didn't cross when I was with The Domain Group!)
